We are obsessed with wellness shots! The potent blend of healthy ingredients in a little shot glass gives a little boost to our body and feels amazing. After a couple of stressful and busy months, January is the month that we like to reset our bodies. Today we’d like to share our 4 favorite health-boosting shots that have become part of our wellness arsenal.

Fire Shot:

This one is great to boost your immunity or as a remedy for cold and flu. **Warning: you will be smelling like garlic for awhile!

 

Ingredients:

Half a lemon

Tbs of honey

1/4 inch jalapeno

1/4 inch horseradish

1 garlic clove

3/4 cups water

Method:

Combine ingredients and blend. Take 2-3 oz shot. Store the remaining in the refrigerator.

 

Health benefits of horseradish:

Horseradish improves the immune system, gives relief from congestion during cold or allergy, lowers blood pressure, aids in weight loss, stimulates healthy digestion, and promotes a healthy heart.

 

Health benefits of garlic:

3 cloves of garlic has the same antibacterial activity as a standard dose of penicillin. It helps to relieve ear infections, ward off coughs and colds, relieve sore throats, remedy tonsillitis and alleviate respiratory problems.

 

Golden Milk Vitality Shot

This shot is great to reduce inflammation, boost energy and give radiant skin.

 

Ingredients:

3 cup almond milk

1 t coconut oil

2 pitted dates

1 t turmeric

Method:

Heat 3 cups almond milk on the stove top to your desired temperature. Pour milk and the rest of ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

 

Health benefits of turmeric:

Turmeric is great for your skin as it reduces blemishes, acne, and redness, prevents wrinkles and boosts the skin’s moisture. Turmeric can also boost your energy and is known as a caffeine alternative. It also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, boosts immunity and brain power, aids in muscle pain relief, helps with digestion, reduces cholesterol, lowers risk of diabetes, helps fight infection, depression, and cancer.

 

Alkaline Digestion Shot

A wonderful shot to have first thing in the morning to alkalize the body. The body is naturally acidic in he morning because it cleanses itself overnight and ACV helps to maintain a healthy alkaline pH level.

 

Ingredients:

1 chopped apple

2 celery stalks

1/4 ginger

1 tablespoon AVC

Top with cayenne pepper

Method:

Combine ingredients and blend.

 

Health benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV):

ACV is an amazing superfood with amazing healing properties. In addition to it being loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and enzymes, ACV helps to regulate the body’s PH, stimulate cardiovascular circulation and helps detoxify the liver. Detox Kidney Shot

Parsley is known as the best natural kidney cleanser.

 

Ingredients:

½ a bunch of parsley

½ Apple

¼ lemon

1” of Ginger

2” of cucumber

Method:

Combine ingredients and blend.
